Connecting...
Transurban does more than build, maintain and operate motorways like Citylink, Gateway, Eastern Distributor, M2, and Lane Cove Tunnel. We’re talking about connecting communities sustainably and intelligently. We’re thinking about how we can reduce environmental impact. We help connect people and places better, and use Big Data and bigger ideas to make road travel smarter and safer.
Whichever part of Transurban you join, you can expect exposure to senior team members and industry specialists. We might be influencing the future of road travel globally, but we’re a small, friendly company at heart. You’ll discover your mentor, and wider team are happy to answer questions – as well as ask for your input. Expect to be consulted: we value everyone’s ideas, and with curious, multi-talented people at every location we’re not short on ideas and diverse insights.
Program structure:
The Transurban Females Excelling in Engineering and Technology (FEET) program is designed to offer a development and mentoring experience to curious, driven and passionate female students, with fresh ideas and diverse experiences. This program is a potential pathway into further Transurban programs including casual work and the Transurban Graduate Program. We are seeking high potential students, with a genuine interest in learning more about Engineering and Technology, and getting a head start in their career by gaining meaningful work experience and mentoring from some of the best in the business.
If you’re excelling in Engineering and/or Technology subjects at University - please consider joining us via our FEET program, and contribute to our purpose to strengthen communities through transport by thinking bigger, working better and connecting people.
Over the course of 35 contact hours (completed over a 6 week period), you’ll experience life at Transurban – based on your interests, qualifications and career ambitions. You'll learn about projects and broader business objectives. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all program, so we’ll work with you to ensure you get a taste for working in a large infrastructure organisation, with mentoring, exposure and learnings that will set you up for future success as you complete your degree.
The talents you’ll bring:
Please note our Interns must be either an Australian/NZ citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.
About us
Transurban is driven by bringing people and places closer. The roads we plan, build, operate and maintain make communities stronger, across Australia and North America. Together, we’re building a future that marries traditional infrastructure with emerging technology. We’re making roads ready for driverless cars and predicting accidents before they happen. We’re getting people where they’re going. And we’re doing it faster, smarter and safer, every last one of us.
