Research Engineering (RE) are looking for a suitably qualified and motivated Sheetmetal/Fabrication person to work in our Fabrication Facility. Reporting to Leader of Mechanical Fabrication (LMFAB), the successful applicant will work under general direction and have demonstrated experience and knowledge in a range of materials, manual folding equipment and numerically controlled technology. Experience in laser Cutting, Waterjet Cutting and Welding would be advantageous but not essential. The successful applicant will have the ability to interpret CAD models, technical drawings to AS1100 and sketches, and be able to work comfortably within a multi-disciplined team environment to achieve outcomes and supply solutions required by DST and Defence clients.
