Defence are seeking highly motivated, qualified engineering professionals to join the Naval Technical Bureau in the position of APS6 Technical Officer Explosive Ordnance Armaments.
The Naval Technical Bureau (NTB) is an in-house engineering organisation for Navy with expertise spanning a broad range of technologies with application across the entire life cycle of Naval Ships and Submarines. The NTB is wholly customer focused; it exists to continuously deliver products and services required of it. The NTB has been designed to be flexible and agile in responding to any changes in requirements and/or technologies.
We are looking for a diploma qualified engineers with experience in Explosive Ordnance Armaments. The Armaments Technologies Cell within the NTB is responsible for providing cross force support to the seaworthiness of Explosive Ordnance or Armament Systems. Our Armaments Technicians provide of a range of products and services including technical advice to seaworthiness authorities, advice on emerging technologies, hardware, explosive and armament system platforms.
You will take part in design, testing and support of a range of projects that will see you interacting with Australian Defence Force personnel (ADF) as well as internal Australian Public Service (APS) staff and external stakeholders. The diverse projects, technical advances and exposure to ground breaking maritime developments are just some of the exciting aspects of the portfolio as well as knowing you are contributing to the continued capability and safety of the Royal Australian Navy.
