What we are looking for:

 

As a Systems Engineer on the Collins Sonar Capability Program you will perform an important role in upgrading the sonar systems and interfacing with the tactical system. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with sufficient relevant experience in a similar role. You will work in a dynamic and diverse environment requiring a number of key skills to undertake the following tasks:

 

  • Engineering life cycle tasks of reviewing engineering deliverables & documentation, tracking and participating in Verification & Validation activities, and guiding design decisions for Sonar systems.
  • Work closely with Systems Integrator and sub-contractors, Platform System Integrator, In-service Support contractors and other Australian Department of Defence stakeholders.
  • Provide briefs on engineering activities to stakeholders including capability manager, scientific researchers, and project management.
  • Participate in risk management activities that include identification and classification of engineering and other areas of expertise.
  • Evaluate technical deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives.
