If you are looking for a challenging career that makes a difference, perhaps a role in the Department of Defence working on Australia’s most complex Defence naval capabilities is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Whether you are looking to start your journey in engineering or you are a seasoned engineer, we are looking for capable, flexible and bold problem solvers to jump into a range of challenging and rewarding roles.

The Australian Government is laying the foundations for a nationwide naval shipbuilding enterprise to support the implementation of the Naval Shipbuilding Plan. The Plan outlines the Australian Government’s vision for the Australian Naval Shipbuilding Enterprise and the significant investment required in coming decades. Modernisation of our naval forces is a complex, national endeavour aimed at building and sustaining Australia’s naval capabilities. It will create economic growth through Australian industry involvement and in securing Australian jobs for future generations through a continuous naval shipbuilding industry.

The Department of Defence will play a critical role in establishing the naval ship building enterprise over the next two decades, and that is why we are calling for applications from talented, motivated and skilled people to drive this critical Government agenda.
