Engineer Professional Manager – Systems

EL1

$101,955 - $115,005 (plus super)

Russell, ACT

The Chief Systems Engineering Branch within the Capability and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integrated team comprising of Australian Public Service (APS), Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Contractor personnel. The Branch is looking to fill several Engineering Management vacancies at the EL1 level to continue the development and implementation of the Engineering and Technical (E&T) function across the Group as the organisation continues to mature the Balanced Matrix philosophy.

Under the CASG Balanced Matrix model, the Branch supports the E&T workforce in Systems Program Offices (SPOs) and business units to deliver capability to the ADF. The vacancies are across various E&T work programs including standardisation of E&T policies and processes, assurance and compliance activities associated with these standard processes and reporting outcomes. Your stakeholder management skills will have you establish and foster the many working relationships you will have across the organisation and with key external stakeholders as CASG continuously improves the way it delivers outcomes for Defence.

Working closely with the Branch Executive, the positions are a great opportunity for a senior engineer to shape the future of the E&T function in supporting its members. You are a senior professional engineer with a mature understanding of the role the Engineering and Technical function plays in delivering acquisition and sustainment outcomes.  You self-motivated with strong liaison skills and have the ability to lead a small team to achieve outcomes.

Application Closing Date: Monday 01 June 2020
