About the role:
The Electronics Hardware Engineer will form part of the Engineering Support Team under the Scylla In-Service Support (ISS) contract for the Collins Class submarines supporting the Scylla sonar and associated equipment and systems.
The Electronics Hardware Engineer will employ engineering skills, knowledge and competencies, individually or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to satisfy internal and external customer's expectations for services, products and deliverables, and support the achievement of project and business obligations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • IEAust recognised Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree able to meet the requirements for Professional membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Knowledge of the engineering design process, including familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Good understanding of configuration management of equipment and designs, including management of changes throughout the life of the equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good initiative, self-management and planning skills.
  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience in an electronics design, manufacturing or support environment
