Your responsibilities will include:
In terms of some of the specific responsibilities, you will:
  • Drive the design, development, and testing of COTS/MOTS or custom computing hardware
  • Assess and evaluate potential hardware equipment
  • Manage ICT, systems and test engineers to deliver an integrated product
  • Lead the design and installation of hardware components
  • Independently determine and develop an approach to solutions that are innovative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organisational objectives
  • Develop and deliver project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met
  • Define specifications, evaluate vendors, and prepare and analyses test reports
  • Define business improvement initiatives

About you:
With your advanced knowledge in Hardware Engineering and Electromagnetic principles, you will enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in to get the job done. You will ideally also hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution and/or extensive relevant professional experience.
Prior E3, or signature modelling experience is necessary and experience in some of the following key areas will be highly regarded:
  • Extensive experience in Hardware Engineering design
  • Advanced understanding of the system/subsystem engineering lifecycle as it relates to Hardware Engineering
  • Bid/Proposal experience, ideally within the Capture phase
  • Extensive experience in creating engineering documentation including technical drawings
  • HF radar and communications systems experience
  • Substantial Analogue design experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the Defence realm
  • The ability to work autonomously, with highly advanced conceptual and analytical skills

Special Requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and either hold or be eligible for a current NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
ITAR regulations apply and as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability.
