Exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrical Engineer

About the Role
Service Stream's Telecommunications division are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Design Team. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Professional Services, you will be responsible for providing professional engineering services to support Regional SSMCs design and project delivery. This role offers a flexible location, and offered on a Permanent, Full Time basis, this position offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
Relationship Management

• Internal and external stakeholder relationships;
• Consultant engagement, establishment, mobilisation and management;
• Adopt a proactive and responsive customer-service attitude;
• Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (eg. Employees, consultants and clients);
• Develop a thorough understanding of the client's tangible and non-tangible business objectives; and
• Represent SSMC at stakeholder meetings as necessary.

Service Delivery and Quality Assurance

• Establish work practices to delivery repeatable and consistent design approaches;
• Efficient implementation of design and process changes or improvements;
• Increase regional responsiveness to client requirements;
• Contribute towards tender responses, proposal preparation and business development opportunities;
• Ensure compliance with relevant National and State legislation, codes and standards;
• Establish and maintain professional knowledge library;
• Manage professional registration and certification processes;
• Lead the ongoing review and improvement of QSE management systems and processes;
• Adhere to company methodologies, policies and procedures to ensure that produced designs align with SSMC and client expectations;
• Actively identify improvement opportunities through lessons learnt, reducing wastage and accelerating cycle times; and
• Ensure Quality Assurance procedures are completed in accordance with the Quality Manual.

Leadership & Coaching

• Maintain an energetic and enthusiastic approach to motivate the team to achieve above expectations;
• Capability development for transfer to the Regional Design Teams, sub-consultants, and design subcontractors, including training and development;
• Competency development, including presentation ,training and mentoring, at individual and group levels;
• Specialist design team mobilisation, including internal staff and external specialists;
• Encourage, motivate and assist staff to perform to the best of their ability;
• Assist staff with training "on the job" as required and one on one coaching and mentoring; and
• Establish and maintain a positive performance-based culture
