We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced E&I Engineer to join the team at Lytton Refinery QLD.

About the role:
The E&I Engineer will manage and ensure the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the Lytton Refinery facility are well maintained, sustained, and comply with company requirements and standards.
This role has a strong focus on reliability centred maintenance to predict and minimise unplanned outages and in the event of equipment failure, the E&I Engineer will use their fault-finding expertise to assist in returning the equipment to service and to apply appropriate measures to prevent or reduce the potential for fault re-occurrence.
The E&I Engineer is also responsible for completing E&I design work for selected projects, the provision of technical advice on asset reliability and the integrity of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
The role will be based in Lytton QLD and reports to the E&I Engineering Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop equipment maintenance life plans for E&I equipment
  • Champion the Continuous Improvement process for E&I equipment concentrating on reactive and preventative maintenance activities
  • Coach and mentor E&I supervisors and technicians in troubleshooting methodologies and understanding technical aspects of E&I equipment
  • Identify training requirements to ensure minimum standards of competency are maintained by all E&I personnel

About you:
You are an E&I Engineering professional with demonstrated capability in EH&S delivery in the Oil & Gas Industry.
You bring developed organisational skills with you and possess the capacity to be flexible in balancing priorities to meet/exceed customer needs.
Your previous 5 to 10 years' experience at an Oil & Gas operation as an E&I Engineer will showcase your technical proficiency and ability to operate within a highly motivated, effective and capable peer group.
You will also have proven competencies in two or more of the following: High Voltage Isolation and Access, Hazardous Area Compliance Strategies, Emergency Shutdown Systems, Control systems or General field instrumentation.

Key skills and experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical Systems)
  • Supplementary instrumentation qualification also highly regarded
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in an Engineering position in Oil & Gas
  • Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) or eligible to be chartered
  • Qualification in Functional Safety - FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) Certificate
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Programs and Maintenance applications highly regarded
  • Confident planning skills including the ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Advanced communication skills with a high level of personal integrity
  • Practical application of Hazardous area and Electrical Safety standards and legislation
