About the role
RDA is currently looking for multiple Design Engineers in Brisbane and Melbourne with opportunities for significant time in Germany. Reporting to the Engineering Design Manager, you will be responsible for the advanced design of systems, subsystems and components of tracked and wheeled armored and logistic vehicles over the product life cycle. Key duties include:
Creating concepts in response to requirements;
Transforming selected concepts into documented prototype designs (using CAD, Agile, Teamcenter, NX);
Supporting the manufacture and verification of prototypes; and
Developing, releasing and maintaining production documentation
The role will give you the opportunity to work with and learn from a team of highly experienced and talented Design Engineers. You will also mentor less experienced Engineers.
As the successful applicant you will have:
A Mechanical Engineering degree that is recognised by The Institute of Engineers Australia
Demonstrated experience in military or automotive vehicle design
Excellent written English skills
An analytical mind and a positive attitude
Experience mentoring or managing other Engineers
The ability to gain an Australian Security Clearance (i.e. you must be an Australian citizen)
Experience working in a low volume engineered product environment (desirable)
Experience with armored vehicle systems (desirable)
