About the opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Defence Systems Engineer, ideally with an aerospace background to support the systems engineering program for an airborne Command and Control system project.

What will you be involved in:

  • Preparing for systems engineering program reviews;
  • Supporting requirements definition, allocation and management;
  • Systems engineering and systems integration in support of communications and radar systems;
  • Participating in Verification and Validation activities.

What we would like from you:

  • Bach Engineering Degree - Aeronautical, Electronics or Avionics (Preferred Specialisation)
  • Current or recently suspended AGSVA clearance (must be Australian citizen);
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the ADF Aerospace Acquisition environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with our clients;
  • Between 5-10 years of industry experience;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to consult to a diverse group of clients;
  • Be a clear communicator both written and verbally;
  • Be a team player with a can-do attitude.

Desirable:

  • Ex-service background or experience in an engineering stream within DMO or CDG;
  • Experience in the Defence Acquisition Systems Engineering environment;
  • Experience with Design Development of Communications and Radar systems;
  • Experience with DOORS;
  • ASDEFCON experience (highly desirable);
  • 10 years' experience in the ADF Aerospace Acquisition environment.
