2021 Graduate intake:
Starting in February, our 2021 intake will include three opportunities in:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering                         

About our program:
Your development will start with your core discipline and grow to include a series of short and longer-term rotations across other business areas to help you gain a broad understanding of our business. One of the aspects we love most about this program is the opportunity you will have to contribute to innovation and business projects as a core part of your development.  The program also supports building your professional and technical skill development, whilst being supported by a diverse group of mentors.  As active members within the broader water community, you will also have the opportunity to join a young professional’s network; a great foundation to investing in your leadership skills.
Many of our graduates join our Vacation Program that runs from November through to February.  Applications for the 2020 Vacation Program will open soon.  

About you:
We are looking for graduates who will have completed their bachelor’s degree prior to the commencement of the program. You will also need to demonstrate your:

  • ability to understand and apply the various legislative and regulatory statutes
  • adaptability and willingness to learn and participate in professional development opportunities
  • ability to acquire detailed knowledge and understanding of various processes with an emphasis on learning and solving problems
  • high work standards and attention to detail in recording accurate information
  • strong written communication including drafting correspondence, reports and procedures
  • understanding of and commitment to safe behaviours that keep our workplace healthy
  • strong teamwork and collaboration capability
  • customer focus and a positive and proactive approach to interacting with our community
  • drive to achieve development goals, plans and work across a variety of systems and projects to achieve team outcomes
  • confident technology skills including spreadsheets, databases and Microsoft programs
  • strong time management, multi-tasking, investigative, analytical and research skills.
