AECOM is expanding its dynamic and innovative Civil Infrastructure business in Newcastle and are looking for an enthusiastic Civil Engineer with road and civil design experience to join the team. In joining us you will contribute to some of the largest projects in the region and have an impact on the local area.

Job summary

  • You will predominantly work on new highway and existing road upgrade projects from strategic through to detailed design and construction phases

  • You will also develop civil engineering designs across renewable energy, mining & industrial, and transport projects.

To do this you will:

  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures

  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests

  • Propose innovative design solutions to meet and exceed our clients’ needs

  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule, with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in 12D and/or Civil3D, AutoCAD

  • Civil design / engineering experience across earthworks, roads, pavements, utilities coordination, water/sewer networks

  • Basic knowledge and interest in drainage design

  • Experience in project coordination and management support / reporting

  • Experience in DRAINS would be beneficial

  • Site experience would be beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) – essential.
