This opportunity will suit an inspired leader who is looking to join a highly complex engineering environment to lead the corporate engineering function team within the Department of Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

The Role
As the Executive Director you will hold one of the most senior APS engineering positions within CASG and lead a direct reporting team of four Executive Level 2 Director positions delivering key engineering support services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engage and influence other executives to foster a cross-collaborative operating model and ways of working to achieve Defence’s outcomes.
  • Represent Defence through leading and attending regular fora with various senior stakeholders both internal and external to Defence including international engineering representation.
  • Oversee workforce and professionalisation activities for the Engineering and Technical Job Family by setting frameworks and occupational profiles to grow and develop the practice.
