About the team

The Avionics Systems team sits in the Support Engineering division of AAP and is responsible for providing engineering, maintenance and logistics support services to the business ensuring compliance with regulations and AAP policies and procedures.

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Avionics Engineering Services, you will work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Military Design Organisation (MDO) personnel as well as internal stakeholders to manage technical tasks and engineering services. This would include:

  • Building relationships internally and externally to ensure positive working relationships are built and maintained
  • Performing Technical Information Reviews (TIRs) as well as technical change management and investigation activities
  • Partnering internally with other Systems Engineers and Airbus Continuing Airworthiness Management Services Organisation (CAM-SO) personnel to effectively resolve any issues
  • Development and review of engineering advice, authorised maintenance data and instructions
  • Maintenance of data files and engineering records within the Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLMT) as required
  • Active participation in Visual Management Board discussions and team meetings

About you

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (major in Avionics or Electrical systems and/or continuing airworthiness management) or an aircraft maintenance engineer/technician qualification in Avionics trade stream
  • Relevant industry experience, ideally gained within a  Continuous Airworthiness environment
  • Experience in using Enovia as a PLMT
  • Previous exposure to a Defence Project Environment and the DASA regulation set
  • Project/Task Management experience would be an advantage, however is not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn in a high workload environment.
